Nick Conn, Head Coach
Nick has always been an athlete. He grew up in Bishop, CA nestled in the Owens Valley where he skied, hiked, climbed, swam, and played outdoors in California’s beautiful Eastern Sierras. When his family moved to Sacramento in 2000 he had a hard time adjusting to city life until he found and fell in love with organized sports. Over the years he has played and participated in sports including water polo, swim team, rugby, volleyball, soccer, wrestling, boxing, and track and field. He moved to Santa Barbara in 2005 for college to expand his mind and inadvertently fell in love with his new home: the Goodland. Fitness and coaching became his passion over the years of athletic and academic pursuit as he dedicated his studies to Physiology and Fitness Instruction. For the past 2.5 years he has been helping to coach and inspire others to maximize their own fitness potential. Nick has a keen eye for movement and an excellent ability to relate complex motions and concepts to athletes of all ability levels. His best quality; however, is his unmistakable and contagious love of the simple beauty found in breathing hard and moving heavy shit.
