The 2012 CrossFit Open

 

Today’s Workout:
Deadlift

5 Reps 40% WM
5 Reps 50% WM
5 Reps 60% WM

Working Max (WM)= 90% 1RM

Then:

One Minute On…One Minute Off…for 10 minutes.
30 KB Swings – 2 pood
*You have 1 minute to get 30 KB swings. If you do not get 30 KB Swings in 1 minute, count a penalty.
*Perform this workout one minute on and one minute off. Total time is 10 minutes.
*For every penalty counted, perform a 1000 meter row.

The Open will consist of workouts posted February 22-March 25. We will all be doing the Open WODS in group classes, but if you would like to participate you can sign up here: http://games.crossfit.com/. Make sure you join Team CFG. If we have enough boys and girls sign up and kick ass we might even qualify a team for regionals which would be amazing. Don’t be intimidated they are just workouts like the ones we do here at CFG every day.

        • If i were to grab the 2 pood and do 30 swings the first 2 rounds, and then 15, 10, and 10.. then i would be that guy. Or to clarify, i was that guy! ha

  2. OMG — definitely want to get 30 KBS every time with 1000 m row penalty! Maybe I will make this up tomorrow…sounds fun!

  6. Conflicted. The ticking time bomb in my abs exploded…but deadlifts! And kettlebell swings! I think I’m masochistic enough to show up anyway.

    • You could not have described how my abs feel any better. Laughter, coughing, sneezing all hurt. On the workout; 1000 meter row is an EVIL penalty.
