Streamline Your Progress

Today’s Workout:

“Nicole”

AMRAP 20
Run 400m
Max Pull-ups

A few of us are religious about recording our workouts. I don’t think I have ever seen Paulo or Laura (or a few others not in the picture) leave a workout without writing down their scores in detail in their journals. This is AWESOME. Recording your scores shows you evidence of your improvement, gives you goals such as weights, reps, or times to beat, and helps your coaches to help you figure out what weight/scalings you should use for a workout. For these reasons journals are a necessary and valuable tool in furthering your fitness. The scores on the record boards last about a week, you should to be able to look back in a month, a year, or a few years and see how far you have come. It only takes a few seconds to record a workout if you do it right after you finish. The benefits are well worth the minimal effort involved. If you don’t know what you got last time on a workout or lift you will never be able to PR… Think about it.

It doesn't have to be fun... to be fun.
