Continuing to Train Injured

 

Today’s Workout:

5 Rounds For Time:

3 Wall Climbs
7 Ring Dips
3 Rope Climbs
7 Supine Ring Rows

If you are a human being you will experience injury from time to time. Whether from athletics or accidents it will happen. Unfortunately this is a fact of life. When you are injured it is important that you take the necessary steps to recover: rest, ice, avoid inflammatory foods, and get physical therapy if necessary. It is also important to do as much as you can to stay active. Fitness is chronic adaptation to exercise. This means that if you stop exercising your fitness will decrease. Inactivity promotes atrophy, loss of flexibility, and reduced work capacity. Our style of training is infinitely scalable and you can still get a solid workout while avoiding your boo boo. One of the benefits of having coaches is guidance on your path back to health. Na and I are in no way doctors, but we do have a lot of experience dealing with both our own injuries and those of others.
