When your friends ask you “What is CrossFit” how do you respond? This can be a difficult question to answer. What is CrossFit to you?

  2. Ok, fine, since everyone else is afraid to get the wrong answer, I’ll go :) … I tell them that Crossfit is basically high intensity, short duration exercises mixed in with lifting. It focuses on functional movements and there are a lot of body weight exercises (since most of those are functional). Then, from there, I simply answer whatever specific questions they have. Usually the competitive aspect of working out in a group comes up, and I acknowledge that it is very different, but also something that pushes you unlike anything else. In summary, it’s super awesome :) .

  4. I love the photo of Brittany above. I think it says it all about CrossFit. She’s in a pool of sweat – with super-toned muscles – AND she’s smiling. I’m so glad to be back!
