Ok, fine, since everyone else is afraid to get the wrong answer, I’ll go … I tell them that Crossfit is basically high intensity, short duration exercises mixed in with lifting. It focuses on functional movements and there are a lot of body weight exercises (since most of those are functional). Then, from there, I simply answer whatever specific questions they have. Usually the competitive aspect of working out in a group comes up, and I acknowledge that it is very different, but also something that pushes you unlike anything else. In summary, it’s super awesome .

I say “Crossfit is a team workout full of well-postured cool people who rage without sparing any sweat, better their individual strength and confidence levels, and inspire the less strong/experienced members of team to achieve higher performance levels.” Paulo

I love the photo of Brittany above. I think it says it all about CrossFit. She’s in a pool of sweat – with super-toned muscles – AND she’s smiling. I’m so glad to be back!
