Elizabeth is not an easy benchmark WOD. The combination of weightlifting and gymnastics is classic CrossFit; however, both motions require a lot of skill and strength. Get some confidence and timing getting under your bars when we Hang Clean and prepare for battle with this special lady.

  2. Dont be a Jerk. In the recent crazyfit challenge i was informed that Nick C. was given the form award. Respectable of course but it kinda made me cringe. This isn’t bashing on the crazyfit challenge, or Nick haha, its just what ran through my head when i thought of the idea of a first place award, and a form award. In crossfit there is no concept of a form award, just a virtuosity ,showing masterly skill or brilliance, award! Full range of motion doesn’t exist to piss people off during a wod, it exists because our bodies are made with joints that can move a certain range in a certain functional motion. We all know the feeling of our degraded bodies not being able to comfortably reach that range of motion in a movement, but we need to get rid of the mindset that our workouts are just NUMBERS to finish as fast as we can. If 2 people race in a 400m sprint on a track, and one person cuts across the track on the first turn he’ll probably get a faster time, but he definitely didn’t go the full distance. Compare that to squats with depth, and whoever doesn’t go full depth just cut across the track with a smile on their face at the end of a wod holding their hands up for high fives! Ill applaud you for your effort, virtuous or not, over your time. Progress doesn’t happen overnight.

    P.S. wrestled a couple guys in high school who had that singlet. Different logo, but same thunder pattern. Not that sweet nick, if you want a singlet for o-lifting just ask.

  4. I will double count all my reps now or just add 5 reps to everything and that way I will always have the minimum. I am already “that guy”, I don’t want to be a jerk too.
