Setting up for a lift is an important and necessary step before moving. There are ideal postures and positions for each of the lifts we do, and we practice them regularly. You should start to make mental checklists to go through to ensure your body is ready to perform a motion. A good way to go about setup is to start with your feet by making sure they are in the proper position. Sort out your grip and arm placement on your bar. Then adjust your torso into a position with a neutral, supported spine by tightening your core and taking in a deep breath. Taking the time to think through your stance, grip, and positioning in your setup can mean the difference between a PR and a missed lift, or between a healthy back and a herniated disk.
Crazyfit Challenge- Hope Ranch. Do it.

I also find an invaluable tool before performing a lift is to visualize the entire motion a couple of times in my head. Definitely helps to focus my mind and body.
Agreed. Visualization is key. Great addition Bowers.
