Coach Pappas and I spent yesterday at the CrossFit Movement and Mobility Seminar with Coach Kelly Starrett. If you haven’t checked out his website Mobility WOD, you need to do yourself a huge favor and soak in as much of his incredible and FREE knowledge as you can. My mind was blown by the simplicity and efficacy of his concepts. The simplest way to increase all other physical skills is to become a more effective and mobile lifter, and each of us has different goats limiting some aspect of our fitness. Mobility work can be done multiple times a day and on rest days, the more you work on your issues the less they will affect you. The only way to truly maximize your athletic potential is through helping your body to get into proper positions and taking care of it after you beat the hell out of it day in and day out.
