Tonight the first Open workout will be posted to games.crossfit.com. Even if you are not signed up as an athlete you can still try out the workouts with us on Saturdays. Check it out and sign up even if you are just spectating so you can track our athletes and friends from up and down the Central Coast as we take on 16,000 athletes from around the world. Good luck to all those competing! We have 4 athletes signed up so far this year: Coach Pappas, Chris Janeway, Derek Cedarbaum, and yours truly. Time to do work boys.




I started out the first row at a 1:48 pace and quickly realized there was no way I was going to get through all 4 rounds at a similar pace. I backed off a little and I think that was a good choice. The last time we did this back in September my fastest time was 1:52ish and slowest was 1:56ish. That was with at least 3 minutes of rest b/c we were going every 3rd person on the rower. Today was definitely an improvement and 1:50.2 is a new PR.

1:31-2:02 – running is not my strength, so I wasn’t surprised it bit me in the ass.
