The basics of Pose Running: Land on the balls of your feet NOT THE HEEL. Pull your feet off the ground, don't push the ground out the back with them. Lean forward and use the pull of gravity to continue your forward momentum as you simply pull your feet off the ground to continue your fall.




I was too distracted to come to the box today — my sister has been in labor since 9:30 this morning and started pushing right before the 4:30 class, so that’s all I could think about. Once nothing happened with the baby in the first half hour I decided to get a WOD in. There’s a nice big hill outside my back door. It’s 0.32 miles long and climbs from 158 feet to 307 feet (all according to GoogleEarth)…

Time: 20:25.
Talk about being uncomfortable — I was breathing heavily and had that terrible bloody taste in my mouth. But to run up this monster hill 3 times in a row felt pretty good. I broke in my RAGE CrossFit tee, too — I thought it would be appropriate for this workout!
I didn’t think about the baby once while I was running up the hill, but she waited to come out until I was done and now I am the proud aunt of Olivia Grace
