Our workouts are competitive events. First and foremost you are competing against yourself and the clock, but you are also competing with the other athletes in your class, the classes throughout the day, and all over the world who have done the same workout. As you may already know CrossFit Ventura will be hosting the "Central Coast Clash" this August. I highly recommend that you participate if you can. There is nothing quite like a CrossFit competition. From the atmosphere to the performances by the athletes young and old, male and female it is something truly special, especially one hosted by our good friends down in Ventura. Last years competition will forever be engrained in my mind for several reasons, but the most prominent is definitely Mitch's performance in "The Pull" workout. Whether you are new to CrossFit, or you have been doing it for a while a competition on the horizon will inspire higher levels of performance in your training. Come competition day you will be amazed at what you can accomplish with a building full of fellow athletes and competitors cheering you on.

  2. another reason that competition will forever be engrained in my mind is that the last wod was the first CrossFit wod in which i met pukie. good times.
