"How many of you would classify yourselves as “good swimmers”? For those of you that aren’t good swimmers, we’d like to know why. We happen to live within walking distance of one of the largest bodies of water on the planet … which also happens to double as one of the largest playgrounds on the planet! If you don’t know how to swim and swim well, then you are not only missing out, but also leaving a massive chink in your armor. The goal of CrossFit is to prepare you for unknown and unknowable (do zombies swim?!?!?). If you think that you will never find yourself in a situation where you will need to know how to swim well….well, I’ll be happy to entertain any arguments to the contrary at the beach (please wear a swimsuit to said discussion, you’ll need it). Both Eric and I have clocked in more hours in a swimming pool then we’d like to admit. Sharing this knowledge with you all will also go far in healing the wounds that we both carry from a lifetime spent staring at a black line on the bottom of a pool and ingesting chlorine. Here’s Eric with an outline of the seminar and the requirements to attend: This seminar will be best served for those with a very basic swimming and aquatics background. As a general rule, if you can swim one lap in a normally sized pool (25yds), then you should be in good shape for the seminar. Those who may not benefit as much are those who struggle to keep afloat. If that’s your situation, contact us individually and we’ll set up some separate sessions. We’ll be working on stroke technique (both pool and open water) plus treading and diving. This will be similar in feel to the POSE seminar in that we’ll be presenting a ton of drills that you can take with you and practice over time. Feel free to pull me aside if you have any specific questions. Don’t forget sunscreen!" This seminar is limited to the first 20 to sign up. Learn more HERE

I sound newb here, but american or russian? 2 pood i convert to 72, but im reading 2 pood= 64lb. is it 72 or 64. thanks for clarifying.
2 pood is 70. a pood is about 35lbs. and as far as the height we do american swings because they have a greater range of motion. you dont sound like a noob, those are great questions. at first i thought that pood was the misspelled version of pound. thats noob.
