Your warm-up should include more than just static stretches. You want to increase your flexibility, blood circulation, respiratory rate, the temperature of your muscles and prepare for the intensity that CrossFit workouts require. A proper warm-up will help your performance in workouts and sport as well as reduce the risk of injury. The warm-up is also a great time to work on motions or skills that you may need a little extra practice on such as the kipping pull-up or overhead squat.
