Nutrition is often a very underemphasized part of fitness. Whether you are trying to loose weight, gain weight, or just drop a few seconds off your "Fran" time it is important to consider. Everything you put into your body is a drug, food included. Proper nutrition can reduce inflammation, reduce body fat, support lean mass, improve mental function, improve performance, and prevent several diseases. Next Saturday, April 10th (after we all crush Fran) we will be starting a month long "Paleo Diet Challenge." The paleo diet is a simple diet, but can be hard to implement. With a little effort and preparation you will all be leaner and healthier versions of yourself and have a better understanding of why we want to avoid dense, processed carbohydrate sources and processed foods in general.
