Today's Workout

"Elizabeth"

21-15-9

135lb Squat Clean
Ring Dips

Ted and Arthur teamed up to tackle the beach WOD.
I saw a picture once from the whiteboards of CrossFit Santa Cruz and it was just a quote that said "If you are not going to PR today, go home." What is a PR and why is it important? A PR is a personal record. It is the best you have done at a given challenge, skill, or workout, and your current goal to beat next time you repeat it. In the quest for fitness competition with yourself is much more important that competition with others, because if you are continually outperforming yourself you know that the training you are doing is paying off. PRs are goals that will help fuel your desire to train and practice, as well as records of where your training has come from and where you should seek to go. There are few better feelings than putting in the work and seeing it pay off in the form of a new PR. If you want to see some great PRs check out the section of our whiteboard dedicated to celebrating these awesome accomplishments until it fills up and we need to erase it and refill it with new ones!

  1. I want to be on the board for 305×3 DL.
Also, is the clean off the floor into front squat? And is the 21-15-9 the number of reps for both the clean and the dips?
I liked Cindy, and I liked the DLs.

  2. Cole I’d love to put you on the board, all you have to do is hit that weight in our gym. Only workouts done at CrossFit Goodland count for the board.
Yes, the clean is from the floor and you catch it in a full squat as RX, but if you are still new to the clean I recommend doing power cleans in this workout cause squat cleans require a lot more skill and flexibility.

It doesn't have to be fun... to be fun.
