Working out in a group is awesome. Everyone's energy level and output are heightened, support and cheering abound, and it gives athletes more inspiration to leave their comfort zone behind. Whether you finish the workout first or last it does not matter, what matters is that you finish and put in as much effort as you are capable of exerting. If you can do that you will see yourself getting better at these workouts very quickly. Sometimes the hardest part can be just showing up, especially when the workout is hard, not a strength of yours, and you are sore from the workout 2 days before, but when you show up you can be assured that we will all help you get through it and you will get fitter because you put in the effort. There are not many feelings better than finishing a tough workout, hitting the ground, and getting high fives from all of your friends who just finished the WOD with you. One of the slogans that CrossFit Pacific Coast has on their shirts is "Show up, Don't Quit." Seeing a return on your investment in fitness is that simple, not easy, but simple.
