Mental Preparation
Our workouts are short and intense. Intensity takes work, both mentally and physically. Before I begin any workout I get nervous, maybe a little angry, and those butterflies in my stomach just like I used to before a rugby game. This is not only healthy, but necessary. Being a little nervous is actually a hard wired response of our "flight or fight" component of the nervous system, it lets you know that your body is preparing to rage. The key is to use that nervous energy to your advantage, not to let it frighten you or throw you off your game.
