The deadlift is not dead.

The deadlift is a slow lift in which the main struggle is maintaining a neutral spine. This is one of the most functional strength motions we have. EVERYONE picks stuff up off the ground, but not everyone does it properly. Rich is seen in this picture in the set up for the similar sumo deadlift high pull, but his back angle and body positioning are excellent. 

Today's Workout

Deadlift 3-3-3-3-3

then

3 rounds for time

10 burpee box jumps
10 knees to elbows
